HI, IAMJOODZ
IAMJOODZ is a visual artist and muralist born and raised in Waiʻanae, Hawaiʻi. Growing up on the west side shaped her relationship to space, people, and environment—where community, resilience, and creativity exist side by side. From an early age, she was drawn to color, drawing, and making things by hand, finding expression through art as a way to process the world around her.
Her work is influenced by everyday life in Hawaiʻi: the streets, the land, the ocean, and the people often overlooked. As her practice evolved, IAMJOODZ gravitated toward large-scale work, where art could live outside of galleries and become part of daily experience. Murals became a natural extension of her approach—direct, physical, and connected to place.
Working intuitively, IAMJOODZ uses bold color, movement, and playful figures to create pieces that feel alive and human. Her style is unapologetically her own, guided more by feeling and environment than strict rules or trends. Each work reflects a specific moment, capturing energy, emotion, and presence as they naturally unfold.
Today, IAMJOODZ focuses on mural projects and site-specific work, collaborating with communities and local businesses to create art that brings life into shared spaces and invites connection without needing explanation.
